Buffy Sainte-MarieInternationally renowned musician, artist and activist,

Buffy Sainte-Marie

is a passionate advocate of Indian rights.

Was born to Cree parents at Piapot Reserve near Regina, Saskatchewan. She founded the Native North American Women's Association, a scholarship fund for Native American law students, and teaching music and art at the Saskatchewan Federated Indian College.
